We remodeled our kitchen starting in December of 2002.  It was a 3-month process and,

let us tell you, that means a lot of takeout!!

Let us lead you through the process!

We had a pretty small kitchen to begin with, and it dated back to, like, 1957 so it was time for an update!

Not only was it butt-ugly, but none of the appliances worked.

(Well, actually most of them worked about half the time!)

We did the obligatory bids from 50 contractors. They were all way too spendy, so we started

thinking that we'd have to do the general ourselves, and just hire subs. Anyway, we finally found

one guy to do the general and one guy to do the custom cabinets. And, they did a kick-ass job!

Through the bidding process we got some great ideas on a new layout. We knew it was a

matter of ripping everything out to the studs and subflooring, sticking up new drywall,

new sheathing for the floor, and going from there. While we were in the walls we totally rewired

the place for electrical, phone, network and cable.

We took photos of everything! Check out the slideshow or the before and after shots.
